Price Proposal Analyst - Military Manufacturing

Engenium is seeking a Price Proposal Analyst will work with our military manufacturing client's CEO, Controller, Procurement, Production, QA, Warehouse, Parent company and the customer to develop price and cost analysis to support new and existing programs. This position also tracks, creates and maintains cost and pricing data requirements and deliverables as required as a working member of the accounting team.

Essential Duties

  • Understand Federal and State regulations that are applicable to Government contracts, such as the United States Code, FAR, DFAR, TINA, SCA, etc.
  • Work with the core team to determine the scope of contract requirements and cost elements required to perform the work.
  • Work with the core team to provide analysis of contract risk factors and cost and pricing alternatives.
  • Develop detailed, customized pricing models that incorporate all relevant cost elements.
  • Compose detailed pricing narratives that explicate supporting cost estimates.
  • Prepare equitable adjustment requests and pricing modifications in multiple year contracts.
  • Work with the core team to prepare pricing models for Firm Fixed Price contracts.
  • Responsible for accurate tracking and storage of pricing backup data.
  • Provide support as required for DCAA audits.
  • Provide pricing support to accounting teams as required
  • Coordinate with Controller and/or CEO to ensure all pricing has their final approval prior to submission to Customer.
  • Prepare and edit cost volumes as required.
  • Maintain and organize pricing documentation electronically and in hard copy file folder in compliance with company procedures,
  • Act as custodian of pricing records for assigned contracts.
  • Handle confidential and non-routine information.
  • Type and design general correspondences, memos, charts, tables, graphs, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned to meet business needs.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting area or 5 years experience may be used in lieu of degree.
  • 5+ years experience in the Federal contact pricing field.
  • Experience working within a major corporation and/or a uniformed service.
  • Must have excellent working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations and other associated pricing/contracting regulations.
  • Must have excellent working knowledge of pricing principles and methodologies
