Our client is hiring a Systems Engineer for a Virtual Training program
This is a great opportunity to join a mid sized company and lead the development of a cutting-edge product and join a team to create a re-configurable virtual training product.
Due to the nature of the work candidates must be Capable of obtaining and maintaining US Department of Defense (DoD) secret security clearance.
U.S. Citizenship is required.
Must have a thorough understanding of MS&T architectures, computer architectures and operating systems, the design and analysis of algorithms, and the use of configuration management tools (e.g., Vault, Subversion and AccuRev) and requirements analysis/management tools (e.g., DOORS, TFS). Experience with programming languages such as C# (and preferably C/C++), use of integrated development environments (e.g., Visual Studio, KDevelop) is a plus. Game engine design is a plus.
Must be capable of supporting technical and budget documentation and making presentations to management and customers.
Must be able to create diverse standalone or integrated documents or reports with varying complexities to support program operations, financial reporting, human resources reporting and analysis, or other required business documents as needed.
Education / Experience:
Requires Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience in an engineering discipline
with a minimum of ten (10) years of directly related simulation training systems experience, and
four (4) years of simulation and modeling engineering software development experience (e.g.,
surface/subsurface shipboard systems).
Software development experience in a gaming environment (e.g., Unity, Unreal, Cry Engine) is desired. Team leadership experience with teams of 5 -10+ engineers desired.
Experience with flight/weapon simulation systems is a plus (e.g., OFT, WST, real-time executives, distributed interactive simulation, avionics, I/O, aural cueing systems, flight, engines, 1553, multi-function displays interface, visual systems etc.).
