Pharmacist

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Working knowledge of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists Accreditation Standards for Pharmacy Residency Programs
  • Ability to coordinate and lead small groups of people in determining policy, implementing procedures and demonstrating progress
  • Leadership qualities essential to operate effectively within the institution and advance the practice of pharmacy


KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS PREFERRED:

  • Ability to define operational or program problems/needs and solutions
  • Ability to integrate clinical and distributive pharmacy services with quality improvement, teaching, research, and professional development activities
  • Expertise using Cerner pharmacy solutions and services
  • Expertise using Pyxis automated dispensing technology
  • Working analytical and data management skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of the accreditation requirements of Det Norske Veritas and International Organization for Standardization quality management systems
  • Working knowledge of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists National Practice Standards
  • Knowledge of ACLS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, Doctor of Pharmacy, or another advanced pharmacy degree
  • Post-Graduate Year One (PGY1) & Post Graduate Year Two (PGY2) Pharmacy Residency in Oncology/BMT & BCOP
  • or PGY1 Residency plus contemporary hospital or specialty practice experience (3+ years) consistent withOncology/BMT & BCOP
  • or Clinical pharmacy experience in a contemporary hospital or specialty practice (5+ years) consistent with Oncology/BMT & BCOP

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

  • Practice experience in a large hospital (greater than 500-bed institution) and integrated healthcare system (three or more hospitals in system)
  • Pharmacy leadership experience within a hospital setting or professional organization

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:

  • Current, valid State of Florida Pharmacist license

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRATION PREFERRED:

  • Board certification from the Board of Pharmacy Specialties
  • Registration as a pharmacist preceptor with the Florida Board of Pharmacy and the various schools of pharmacy located within the State of Florida
