Senior Inside Sales Consultant

Our client focuses on the capture and assessment of medical training and clinical events using robust easy-to-use web-based solutions. Their software has helped over 500 hospitals, medical schools, and nursing programs in 31 countries.

They are seeking a Senior Inside Sales Consultant who will primarily be responsible for responding and overseeing the RFP response process, prospecting, nurturing leads prior to sales consultant handoff, supporting the outside sales team, serving as a senior resource for Inside Sales team members, and responding to incoming client requests.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist in hiring and training team members.
  • Prospecting/identifying new sources of business
  • Assist with the planning and overseeing outbound marketing campaigns (find lists of contacts/search for contact information for targeted marketing campaigns)
  • Manage and assist in writing/submitting company responses to requests for proposals (RFPs) and overseeing the response process
  • Responsible for setting up on-site meetings for Sales Consultants
  • Sales team support activities (such as assisting with contract transactions and invoicing as needed)
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities using Salesforce
  • Provide Inside Sales team updates during the weekly Sales Team meeting
  • Run monthly metric reports and quarterly RFP and marketing campaign reports

Basic requirements:

  • 2-4 years of sales experience in a professional work environment
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and research skills
  • Prominent organizational skills and able to manage many projects simultaneously
  • Experience with web-based productivity tools (such as Google Documents and Salesforce)
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Highly energetic and a self-starter, able to work in a fast-paced and self-directed entrepreneurial environment
  • B.A./B.S. in Business, Marketing or related degree strongly preferred
